Thread: The Office (US)

Does anybody else agree that The Office is getting progressively worse and worse this season? I could easily see this as their last season.



Thoughts..?

i haven't seen any of this season yet (but i have all the episodes), but i've noticed its been getting worse for awhile-- i think we're getting too used to the characters they need a big change

Yes, I think they're clearly running out of ideas and are getting more and more desperate. Guess it's natural though. I don't believe too many new characters would help, but maybe a couple if they are to survive one more season.

Isnt The Office a spin-off or remake from another tv show from the UK or Australia? I could of swore I heard that before!

Yeah, it is a remake of a UK show. I kind of disagree though with the show getting worse. I liked it from the first episode and I still enjoy this 20min thing once a week. Its not LOST or something, its just funny characters in funny situations

I wouldn't say that the show is geting worse but it is evolving. One of the major plot changes in this season has been the promotion and marraige of Jim. As a boss Jim so far this season has carried fewer pranks, I miss the rediculous pranks, and goofy personality of Jim.

it is true i just finished watching the sixth session episodes up til the Christmas part i would defenetly agree that its getting worse specially because jim became a boss and its more serious kind of a show now and every one seems to be more against him then they were against mickel. i liked the show very much just stopped watching it in the meddle and now disappointed with the story line. but hoping to get a twist or uplift of the story soon as the show comes back on..

I must say, there is only so much you can do with a group of employees who work for a paper company. It is however, my favourite show. The humor in it is just superb and the characters have some really unique personalities. How cool is Dwight?

For lovers of this show, another US "mockumentary" type show is Parks & Recreation - probably not as good as the Office, but it is only at season 2...

The last few episodes have been worse. I love the office though. And I think it is better than Parks and Recreation IMO
