I personaly only go with 780p as i only have a small screen i watch them on from a couple of meters away so downloading 1080p would make no difference to me

But i have seen the difference on larger, 40"+, TV's and in a big room from about 4 meters away it becomes noticable so it depends alot on your setup aswell

I always go for 1080p first. If the movie I'm looking for is only in 720p, then I'll go with. When you have a 22 inches HD monitor you can really see the difference in full screen mode!

720p works well on my PC and my TV (just 37")

i think, who uploaded is more important rather than 720p or 1080p.
Also 1080p movies size is about twice big than 720p but is the quality twice better?
that is the question i am looking for the answer.

On computers, 720P and 1080P really does not make much difference. The quality of the source and encoder group probably have more to do with it. But on my 55" LCD, I pretty 1080P because I can get point to point.

İf u dont have a Lcd or Ledtv bigger than 50", u can't feel the difference between 720p and 1080p if the encode isnt bad.
For 18"-32" 720p and good 480p BRRips enough for watching.

I almost always download 720p versions of movies. That's assuming that they're available, way too much of my library is still stuck in ancient DVD quality. If it's a movie I really like and comments on the torrent say it's a good encode I'll grab the 1080p.
That being said, I have yet to be able to tell the difference between the two when I've checked two files side by side. Maybe some day I'll be able to splurge on a super sexy, gigantic TV an be able to see it then.
