Thread: Opinions on the New Star Treck movie

I have never been a Treckie but I really enjoyed the latest Star Treck Movie. I was just wondering what others thought of the movie.

I liked it too, and I was always a star wars fan,not a star trek guy, loved the fact that they put the beastie boys song on it, -sabotage.....just awesome

it was fantastic! blew my expectations away.

Haven't seen the movie yet...

I never was to much of a Star Trek fan, but I liked the movie. I liked how you did not have to know everything about Star Trek in order to understand the movie.

I'm a big Star Trek fan. I have sort of mixed feelings about the movie. It was a great movie.... but I was kind of upset at how the movie ended...

*SPOILER ALERT*

... with the timeline being altered and all and then not being fixed. Oh well... I guess that's what the sequel will be for.

Meh, to be honest I liked it. It was worth seeing, but I've never really been a diehard "treckie"

i saw it in the cinema and loved it tbh. i think they did a good job on it and the fx in it were pretty good.

I saw it in the cinema and i've also downloaded it for my dad. I really enjoyed it. I never watched the tv series but really enjoyed this.
The action sequences are very entertaining, you don't have to be a trekie fan to understand the storyline, storyline's very unique and keeps you hooked, turns and twists throughout, laugh out loud funny in places just an all round good film.
Overall i'd give it a 9.1/10
