Thread: Firefly

Anyone else around here a Firefly fan?
I really, really liked the series, still quite possibly the best thing I ever watched. Such a pity there was never a season 2.

Just looked it up, never heard of it and im a big tv show fan, may look it up and take a look at it :)

I think Firefly just started here in Germany on the crappiest station you could imagine .... I thought about watching it since it is from Joss Whedon (Angel, Buffy, Dollhouse) and I love Dollhouse.

Not really a huge fan of Whedon as I dislike any "teen" show.

However Firefly was superb, killed off way too soon. Still that's one of Fox's best tricks.

I have had firely fly recommended to my by a couple of people. It is currenly in my download list and I will let you know what it's like when I watch it.

The same people also recommended Dexter, Alias and Deadwood.

i won't say it was the best in it's kind,but considering the time it aired,i always thought it had a lot of potential,and i never quite figured out why it got canceled,it's mood and feeling always reminded me of "Cowboy Bebop" which i've always been a fan of...anyhow they made a movie after the first season named "Serenity",if you are a fan and haven't seen it,don't waste any time...

Wow I didn't know about Serenity. I will have a look at this one.

I think its a realy good show and i also like the movie, heard some rumers about a movie or a tv show when fox loses the copy rigths... dubth it but it would be awsome

I was addicted to the show too. All of Joss Whedon's stuff is fantastic. The movie was great. There's also a number of comics out by Joss Whedon which were also really good. I'd love it if they made more, but I think the likelihood is very slim for a second film.
