Without a doubt one of the greatest dramas (if not the greatest) to ever show up on our screens. Still greatly underrated and unseen by many.
Please try and follow the same post sequence. If you want to quote someones character and reason, then please only quote that part of their post rather than quoting the whole thing. It just keeps the thread neat and tidy.
If you want to add your own mini review within your post, that's fine. If you want to state your favorite season or episode and reasons with it, that's fine too.

Character 1: Omar Little
Reason: Straight up bad to the bone homosexual with a shotgun, whos occupation is robbing drug dealers. The man has a code and lives by it. Doesn't play the game like the rest, and doesn't need an army of muscle to get things done, instead uses his superior intelligence. This is a man who knows the street and the street knows him, and were no surprise that it was to one day finally claim him. Will go down as an all-time classic TV character for many years to come, ya feel me.
Character 2: Bubbles
Reason: Probably the one character I genuinely felt the most sorry for (except for maybe Wallace). Life treated him harshly on the street, and I guess that's what happens when you're a person with a good heart. He deserved better. I wanted to help him. If you were to see a sad story with a good ending, then Bubbles is that story.
Character 3: Lester Freamon
Reason: Good police. Lester Freamon IS the wire. Probably the most skilled technically. Much like McNulty, doesn't have much regard for the bosses and likes to work within the system to try and change it. Was a dark horse in the first few series, then suddenly became one of the bigger characters in later series.
Character 4: Stringer Bell
Reason: I despised the man and was on the side of Omar all the way, but it's the sheer performance and tension each time he was on screen which made him one of my favorite characters to watch. Every episode I wanted to see this man blown away, and once he finally reached his last moment, I was actually wishing the opposite. He tried to turn 'The Game' into 'The Game INC' which would later show him how you can't.
Character 5: Bunny Colvin
Reason: Good Police. His project (Hamsterdam) will go down as a classic moment in the series. Yet another police that wanted to work within the system to change things and didn't mind bending the rules for the greater good. I felt quite sorry him when he lost his job but he knew the risks, was reaching near retirement and didn't give a shit about the bosses. He later went on to do good work in the school.

Frank Sobotka

ect...
There's just too many.
