I do agree that there is too much emphasis on sex in the movies. What ever happened to attraction/romance? Now a days it skips all that. One scene people meet, next scene they are putting their clothing back on at someone's apartment. Its like the writers couldn't figure out how to get from one place to the other, so they just skipped the whole middle part.

You kidding? There is waaaaaay more emphasis on violence then on sex in the movies today, I mean I can't think of any blockbusters that don't have a fight scene, yet many don't bother with a sex scene.

Shouldn't it be the other way? Sex is fun, positive, ubiquitous in most people's lives and certainly more worthy of celebration.

I'm not saying I don't like some violent media, Tarentino's stuff tends to be awesome, The Wire is the best TV show ever and it is drenched in violence. I just think it's sad there there a shit load of people out there won't even bother to watch a movie if it doesn't have fighting in it, but get their panties in a twist over some good old fashioned sex.

Not only that, but how many sex scenes do you see where they use contraception?

What's sad is even the porn industry doesn't use contraception as a practice. 2 More actors just tested positive for HIV and Vivid and Wicked shut down production. No telling how many more are actually infected.
