Thread: Can you have tivo without a subscription?

I know this has probably been asked before, but is it possible?

What would you be able to do without the service?

Is there a way to hack it to use TV guide instead?

well I dont know if your meaning the actual tivo box or what tivo actually does?

You can buy a box that will do the same thing, let you record rewind your tv shows. I dont have tivo never used it but thats basically what it does, lets you record and rewind your tv shows.

You can even get a tv tuner card for your computer that lerts you record to your hard drive I doubt there is a way to hack the service though

Is there a way to hack the Tivo dvr so it doesn't need the service?
