Thread: Thoughts on Bruno? (possible spoilers)

So I just got back from watching the highly anticipated "follow up" mockumentary, Bruno. If you guys don't know, Bruno is one of three Sacha Baron Cohen alteregos (the other two being Ali G and Borat). Bruno is a gay Austrian and in the mockumentary, he comes to America to find superstardom.

So what did you guys think about the movie? I thought Borat was squeaky clean compared to this one! This one is over the top and it was gay beyond gay. The two scenes that stick out (no pun intended) are the psychic scene and the tv show scene. I was not expecting that penis at all and definitely not ready to see that for 20 seconds long.



It was over the top in my opinion and Borat was better because it was more believable; Bruno just seemed like a real big gay jerk but Borat seemed very down to Earth and harmless. Anyway, your thoughts?

not much else to say besides its the worst movie ive ever seen. the fact that people would not only make this, but have it released into theaters its just beyond me. im no homophobe, nor do i care it was a super gay movie, its just a horrible piece of work in all manners.

Personally I found it to be quite funny, but not nearly as funny as Borat. I was shocked throughout the whole movie, but was laughing at the same time.

That was probably one of the worst movies i have ever seen. I do not know what he was thinking. Ali G and Borat were way better than that character by far.

Cmon guys you have to take the movie from where it is coming from, yes it is over the top and not as beliveable but he was just mocking what some people are really like?

For all of you who have watched this movie, I'm curious. Did you find yourself laughing at Bruno or the people's reactions to Bruno more? Ask the same question for Borat and let me know of the answer.

expected a much better film
this is much below the most comedy films
ali-g still the best one :)
