I look through all recommendations. Strange, but "Green Wing" was never mentioned. It's a good one too. BAFTA winner and critically acclaimed and so on, and so on.

Oh, and if you like "Mr. Bean" (well, who doesn't ) try "The Thin Blue Line". Shame, it's so short.

    Hope this helps.

Surprised Top Gear only got a single mention. I guess it's because it's not really a sitcom type TV show. I don't really like cars but I still think it's an awesome show.

No love for "Chef"? Older, short-lived series - very Gordon Ramsey'ish.
"My Hero" was quirky but funny too.

Hopefully I won't start a "Best Dr. Who" war, but I haven't liked the Matt Smith episodes of Dr. Who so far - not because of Matt Smith but because the writing has lost a lot of its punch since the Tennant days when they lost Russell T. Davies. It's very "Nickelodeon" now.

I second many of the above including Green Wing and Love Soup.

For those enjoying these series, I must add Episodes (TV Series 2011) - IMDb !

I'm amazed at the omission (as yet) of 'Allo 'Allo! (TV Series 1982–1992) - IMDb - classic.

Love UK/I TV as well. Just finished up Series 3 of Being Human. Far superior to the US version.
This past year Luther and Sherlock both blew my mind, I can't wait for more of those. The first series of Little Britain was outstanding, but it's been sadly derivative ever since.
Anything Charlie Brooker touches seems to be a big wonderful mopey piece of gold; Dead Set, *wipe, You Have Been Watching, and How TV Ruined Your Life.
Of course Doctor Who, which I feel has gotten exponentially better since they got rid of Mary Sue Russel in favor of Moffat.
    For further fantasticness, see also:
    QI
    8 Out of 10 Cats
    Peep Show
    Top Gear
    Jekyll
    13 Storeys High
    Spaced
hasn't been mentioned enough here. Fans of Spaced should check out Community on America's NBC is they haven't. It has a lot of that same genre-bending structure. Best US comedy since Arrested Development.

Also, somewhat shocked at the lack of love for Are You Being Served?. British camp at it's finest.

    Anyway, I'll stop talking now.

Coupling is also a great show (Moffat's claim to fame), but be sure not to watch the dreck that is the US remake, it's beyond awful.
