Thread: Deadman Wonderland - Is anyone else watcing this new show?

So, I'm not sure how many anime geeks we have here, but I was wondering what other people think of this new anime.

So far I'm 9 episodes in and about the watch 10 and 11 in a few minutes.
So far this show has managed to keep my attention from episode to episode and that's definately a good thing.
I'm really enjoying the character interactions... but Ganta is a bit of a whiny little punk.
Now Shiro, one the other hand, is hilarious and I want to see more of her!
And these Ultra-Priest's... sweet name! Kinda over the top and that makes it more fun.




So does anyone else have any thoughts on the show?

I'm watching it ( but I haven't watched the last 2 episodes).
I like it, a lot ( something unexpected for me) , but I'm not sure that it will take place among my fav animes.
The story is good; I completely agree with your opinion of Ganta and definitely Shiro is the most interesting character in the series and if it hadn't been her, I wouldn't have watched the anime this far.
And of course, the opening song is great...
I think Deadman Wonderland is one of the very,very few new animes (2011) that worth watching :)

Seriously! I've watched trailers for soooo many other new shows... and this is a serious gem from what's to choose from.
Have you watched Sacred 7 yet? I'm still trying to find time to sit down and watch the first 2 eps to see if its any good...

watched the whole 12 episodes and although the animation is crisp and smooth and the gore is top notch .... the plot is lacking in brilliance ... but it is still entertaining. If they do make a 2nd series I hope the concentrate on the plot as well as the animation and sound =) 8.5/10 for the anime

For sure. I think we are all still waiting to see what's next... 8.5 is actually pretty impressive nowadays lol. And it will probably fall on its face IF they don't follow-up with with more goodness that will keep peoples attention.

Yeah totally agree with what your saying. The other reason I liked this anime was the fact it had a very different setting to the anime I usually watch (mainly the fact it was set in a prison/themepark), the plot was good at first but it lost its way near the end of it, I was surprised it was only a 12 episode anime at first but diligently waiting for a 2nd series =) . When I watched this anime I was reminded of "Highschool of the Dead" Captivating =)
