There are some great romantic movies mentioned here. The Notebook is one of my favorites by far. I also really like Love Actually. Some of the story lines are just silly but most are a cute type of romance.

I recently watched 'What's Your Number?' starring Anna Faris and Chris Evans. Apart from Chris being extremely hot and naked for most of the film, it is a really wonderful story. I won't give anything away, go and watch it at the cinema! It got bad reviews but I think it's highly underrated. Great film.

As a love story, Brokeback Mountain.
I could put Titanic for best passionate story (3 days) and Gone With The Wind for the best twisted non-love story (well, when rhett loves scarlett she doesn't, and vice-versa)...
