Thread: Nokia 6500 Slider -- Nooooooo!

I stupidly selected this model and was very disappointed when after 3 months, the screen -- all of sudden -- appeared cracked like it had a tiny bullet hole in it! The outside casing doesn't give any indication of damage. Also you can answer the phone fine as it still all works -- you just can't read anything on the screen! The happens out of nowhere -- not from dropping/stepping on it/or otherwise abusing the phone. With me, I was sitting at a friends, made a call, put the phone back in my bag, 10 mins alter reached for it make another call and -- surprise!!!



I searched the Nokia forums and found hundreds of similar complaints from around the world on this particular model. Most of the posts were complaining how the manufacturer tried to say to each "It's your fault, you mistreated the phone".

It was under warranty so my provider (Virgin) sent in beck for repair. That was in November. Still waiting. In fact I think I will ring right now and blast the sh*t out of them an threaten them with the Telecommunications Ombudsman.

well i used to have this model, i encounter some problems with the slider after using it for sometime..
Very disappointed with it.
Currently using E51. so far so good. =]
