Default It's time for a new phone

As the name implies, it's time for a new phone

Now i have Samsung i900 Omnia, but it's 2 years old and i want new phone. So please help me select my new phone. In particular I would like some advice from people who do use these phones, what are their strengths and weaknesses, which have already been observed, but of course also welcome others opinions.

I'll choose from the following phones:
    HTC Desire HD
    Samsung I9000 Galaxy S
    Samsung I8700 Omnia 7
    Nokia N8
    HTC HD7

    Thanks for help, advice...

Honestly, the HTC HD seems like the best option. Android 2.2 phone with HTC Sense UI, 1GHz Snapdragon processor and 768mb RAM? Amazing! Even the screen is a nice 4.3"
You can't go wrong with it.

Edit: I meant the Desire HD, but the HD7 also has comparable specs, although Windows Phone 7. It all comes down to your preference in Operating System, but both will be great choices.

I heard that the HTC Desire HD had a very bad battery. Do you know anything about this.

I have been using a Nokia phone for the last four and a half years, and I must say I'm impressed how long it lasted. It still works pretty good now as well. But time is changing, and so would be my phone. Tomorrow I would be getting iPhone 4, and I'm excited like hell.

So I would like to make some suggestions, because I had a tough time choosing iPhone from all the other smartphones around. I chose iPhone not just because of the hype, but several features like its touch screen, sound quality, resolution, the gaming hardware, and the most important applications. Android came very very close, but I feel Apple is still the leader. Further, all the people who already have an iPhone, or are craving for it like crazy can't be wrong.

If not iPhone, then I would definitely suggest an Android phone. Believe me, iOS and Android are the only mobile OS which have the capability to further innovate and entertain its users with more and more apps. I'm sure in a few years Android will overtake iOS, so an Android phone could be a pretty good buy as well.

Don't, and I mean don't buy a smartphone anything other than iOS or Android, because they are the future. If I'd were you, I'd stay away from Windows and Symbian 3 (I know N8 looks tempting with its 12 MP camera and being the first Symbian 3 smartphone). I don't see much of a future for these two OS.

If you plan to buy the Galaxy S, you may wish to wait, because a smartphone packed with the bests of hardware never seen on a mobile phone is about to enter the market (according to rumours). Its Smasung Galaxy S2.

Samsung Galaxy S2 will run on Android 3.0 (Gingerbread?) and will feature a 2Ghz processor and 1GB of RAM combined with 4GB ROM.

Other specs include a full HD 8 megapixel camera, 32GB internal memory, 1080p video recording, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, a gryoscope and an accelerometer.

iPhone 4 were also just rumours in April and May, but proved right in June. And since pics have been released, I feel they would turn out to be true very soon.

Regarding iPhone 4, you can get one from your relatives living in other parts of the world. Thats what I did.

I must say, the S2 looks simply AMAZING.

And I agree with Smack. If you're looking to buy a phone, Android and iOS should be your main choices. I don't know about Windows Phone 7, but Symbian 3 looks like it will not gain much popularity. The advantage of a popular mobile OS is the apps! You will not regret your choice going for either Android or iOS. These OS's are the future!
