Default How the hell does sprint retain customers?

Was at a party and jumped into the pool with my HTC touch in my pocket... obviously not in my right mind... so I went to sprint and bought a cheap little candybar phone... which ended up being like 200$ anyway because I didn't qualify for any discounts. Like a week ago I went in to get my discount and buy a new, better phone and they told me that when I paid FULL price for another phone they automaticlly have to reset my "discount clock". I pay extra to get a new phone yearly instead of every two years and they pull this crap. AND their reception sucks.

All phone companies are like that, T-mobile, ATT, etc, you'll never get a new phone for a good price unless you sign a new contract, and even so, most of them won't allow you to sign a new contract until you're near the end of the current one. It almost never works out where your phone lasts until the end of your contract.

Sprint retains customers the same way the rest of the companies do. EVERYBODY HATES THEIR CURRENT PROVIDER. No matter who they're with, they will almost always tell you, they hate their service provider. So people just keep moving around. They sign a 2 year contract, hate the terms after the first year, wait it out and move to the next company, rinse, repeat.

Bottom line, if your phone breaks and you're not in a position to sign a new contract (don't be forced into one). Just buy a new unlocked phone on ebay, you get a better price and a wider selection. My last Moto RIZR got busted to pieces when I took a roll on my motorcycle. I bought a new one on Ebay for $100.

Sprint has the worst customer support sometimes. I get nice people now with verizon but still these people think they no it all when it comes to techie things when they clearly dont.
