Thread: Samsung Galaxy S and Android Gingerbread 2.3

Samsung Galaxy S (which is rumored as nexus two) is going to be announced today by samsung. but there are rumors that the announcement was delayed because of a hardware issue of the device. And also new gingerbread (2.3) was going to be released on 11. do you think that delay on Galaxy S would also delay gingerbread's release date?


(Also how can any1 call a device as nexus two which has macfunctions BEFORE the release?)

It was rumored as 'new' galaxy S actually. 2 Days ago they have announced it named as 'Samsung Continuum' it has two amoled screens....... (I think that's a horrible idea since google's going to prevent custom UI's with gingerbread)

does that mean HTC sense and all the other manufacture UI's disappear?......for some reason i just cant picture getting rid of custom UI's....

yes I think google wants to make everyone feel the 'google experience' for everyone. also I read that the reason that everyphone has a delay on their updates thats because of custom UI's. They just have to recode everything with that update.

also it's 11th and still no news for gingerbread from google. it was a fake rumor I guess.

It's the Samsung Galaxy S2 that is coming out sometime in January 2011 I believe. It's going to have double the specs of any other phone out right now, amazing.
