Thread: phone suggestion ?

hey. I'm looking for a not that expensive touch screen with gps phone(I mean 200-300 $ maximum), with a relative big screen.. bonus, wi-fi..On its big screen, it should be easy to read articles (wikipedia example) ..so it should also have a document viewer..that'd be great

I think nokia 5230 is ok (no document viewer too, right?), although has no wireless..what do you think? is it ok? the gps works ok, with route planning, your position, without internet?

Get an HTC Evo 4G.

My suggest is HTC HD2. It's a perfect phone that I'm proud onwen of. I can higly recommend this device for everyday usage.

I second the HTC Evo. It has a 4.3 inch screen with a 480x800 res. so text and images should be crisp and clear. It runs on android so you get Google maps navigation. It does have wi-fi but I dont know if it comes with any document viewer by default but theres plenty of apps in the android market that should suite your needs.

update: Wirefly has the Droid X for $100 on new contract. Its similar spec to the evo.

Yes I believe you'll be happy with HTC, one of the big names for android right now. I believe HTC 7 is priced at around your budget too? Or at least not too expensive, could wait for reviews before deciding.

have you looked at the iphone 4? I personally love it. If you don't like it though, you can take a look at the samsung galaxy S which is a good phone too
