    Default Froyo (Android 2.2?)

I have an incredible and thought I read somewhere that they were going to start pushing 2.2 out on August 6th. Still no update for me.

Anyone have the official update yet? Is it the 200 or 300 times faster that has been rumored?

I got it for the desire. I was rooted, so I had to get one of the modified ones from xda. I have not tested it speed wise, but it is quicker.

you could always get it unlocked/debranded. Then you would not have to wait on vodafone.

It's already unlocked. Still runs the Voda firmware though.

it depends on your provider cause they didn't want to do everyone in one time.
they decided to give each provider the update one by one with a number of weeks between it so as example tmobile peeps all have it but verzion peeps not.
and it also depends on your country :P

I live in Pittsburgh PA and i got it a few days after they released it to PGH. I guess it just takes a little bit of time to propagate. They might send it to different towers to ease the load.
