Default Droid Incredible Vs HTC EVO 4G

    Ok,
I'm in the market for my first "smart phone", and believe that I have narrowed it down to these 2 choices.

I know this is a very subjective question, but which one of these is the better one? I read the technical reviews, but I'm looking for experience.

Both companies have good service coverage, but Verizon it a bit better (cost more though) I think.

I do realize the HTC EVO 4G was just released, but I would imagine some hear may have it already... ;-)

Hey mate I have the Evo and I gotta say I love it.

I will definately reccomend it over the incredible. Here's why.

First they are just about the same phone on the inside and as far as hardware/os goes they're basically identical. The only difference being the optiball on the incredible.

The big difference... The screen! The screen on this phone is massive! I love it it's beautiful. Some say the phone is too big but I really don't see that in it at all. It's a thin phone and you really don't look at the phone and say wow what a clunky monster. It's more like look at that sexy beast with all that screen real estate :)

The other difference. 4g. Yea the coverage is limited but it will expand and you do have to pay an extra 10/month for it even if you don't use it. However the extra 10/month makes sprints data service the same price as verizons.

Also theres a front facing cam on the evo. I haven't found much use for this yet and am waiting to see what happens with video calling in the future.

Both these phones are great my friend you've narrowed your choice down well. I have to give my recommendation to the evo because of it's gorgeous screen. Web browsing is phenomenal on this thing.

Hope this helps and hope you haven't gotten the incredible already. But even if you have you still got a pretty kick ass phone :)

I would hold out till the 23 of june motorola is going to release the first droid 2.2 phone that is supposed to work on verizions new 4g network. Verizion has been verry aggressive with their upgrade to 4g and think that this new motorola that has the proccessing power to handle the increased work load will rivel the Iphone4 Stay away from sprints 4g bad news. the new droid by motorola is supposed to be a verry powerful phone with a long batt. I would wait a little while if you can.

I have used both phones. If you want an Android phone, I really dont fell that one is better then the other. You cant make a bad choice.

I'll chime in and say that I have an EVO 4g and it's the best phone I've ever owned. I played with the incredible and it was impressive but I think the EVO really kicked it up a notch in all the right places.

The only complaint that people seem to have about the EVO is the battery life. I, myself, have not had any issues. I can browse and text all day and the battery will still be +30% after a hard day of streaming music and keeping me entertained.

They've both gotten great reviews, but I think the Evo has a bigger screen.

I think kingdom is talking about the Droid X.

well the droid x was released with a big screen and that is about it no new great froyo yet and it is not with the verizion 4g network. lame! it sound slike that evo4g is cool. I guess it will all come down to price and plans available. It seems like soon as you buy the newest coolest phone they drop a newer cooler one.

The Incredible really is Increadible! It also has the EVO beat because it is on Verizon. That win's the battle right there! If you are in a great Sprint area (which your not becuase they don't exist, not in 4G anyway, network is too new). I also heard that sprint was going to be limiting data a bit on the evo, not sure if that is true but a great site for you is Android Central | Android Central to read about both phones.

I dont prefer incredible for one reason - SOFTWARE
    Their moto blur customization sucks
And moreover U cannot upgrade the software because there is a death switch (fuse)

Waiting for EVO to launch in europe :(

The Incredible does NOT have Moto Blur. The Droid X does. Incredible has Sence UI which is great IMHO. Now I am just waiting for my froyo to hit. I read it should be any time now that we are past Aug 6th...
