Default The Mobile Phone of the Future

I can't believe that this phone has not made it to these forums yet. It is absolutely the most impressive phone that will soon be available. I would like to tell everybody a little about the amazing technology that will be introduced June 4th, 2010.

    The HTC EVO 4G
    Features/Technology
    - 1ghz SnapDragon Processor
    - Android 2.1
    - 4.3 inch touch screen
    - 1,500 mAh battery
    - WiFi capable
    - Hotspot technology (Turn your phone into a WiFi hotspot!)
    - Dual Cameras
    - 8 megapixel primary camera on back of phone
    - 1.3 megapixel front mounted camera
    - GPS
    - Stereo Bluetooth
    - MicroSD Slot (Up to 32GB supported)
    - 3.5mm headset jack and micro USB
    - Proximity and motion sensors
    - Digital Compass
    - "Kickstand" attached to back of phone (sits phone upright when streaming video)
    - Mobile HDTV
    - HDMI output that will stream/upconvert video, pictures, and slides to 720p!
    - Visual Voicemail
    - FM Tuner

There is a lot more I could not list. I would suggest you look more into this phone because it will surely be the iPhone Killer. This will be available on the Sprint Network June 4th, 2010. With new two year contract this phone will retail for $199.99(USD) after a $100(USD) mail-in rebate.

I started this thread to ask for your comments on this phone. I know how many of you love your iPhones. To those of you who refuse to let them go, argue your case here. :001_smile:

This sure as shit pounds the iPhone into the ground and then pisses on it's grave in terms of specs, but what about the UI?
Is Android OS better than iPhone OS in terms of usability and personalisation?

I think it comes down to the consumers. When people look to buy a smart phone their looking for something thats sleek, lightweight, user friendly and does what it needs to do. As much as I hate to say it, Apple knows what the market needs and what people are looking for. Thats why they always remain on top with sales. The HTC Evo 4g is no exception to a powerful device, but the question still arises... is it what the consumers of smart phones are looking for? To that in my opinion I would argue no. At the moment theres more business and everyday people in the market for smartphones, to them the simple choice would be the iPhone because of its user friendly OS. In agreement with mr-ghassan I think in the long run as people become more and more educated about the capabilities of smartphones and especially the Android OS, smartphones likes the HTC will eventually end up on top. But in the mean time the iPhone is going to be on top.

I have seen much of iPhone and Android battle,
My question in mind is, do these phones have the apps, games music quality same as iPhone, can they be connected to a dock. Is there touchscreen not needle pointed but finger compatible?
I feel in these terms the iPhone still outsmarts them, however I am not quite sure as I am not that updated with the other phones.

whereas the phone does look impressive I do not believe it will be making much of a difference because of the network it is affiliated with Sprint is terrible with service and with customer service now if it would have chosen to go with Verizon it might have made a very good competitor for the iPhone, but At&t trumps Sprint any day
