Thread: Android OS overtakes iPhone OS

I totally agree android is kicking ass man. I own a HTC hero custom rom, looking forward to buying HTC Evo when it comes out next month.

totally agree.. i wonder y each phone launched these days is called the iPhone killer... and then falls short of the promise.. all the flaws notwithstanding iPhone is iPhone and there cant be device replacing it .. no time soon.. though apples' monopolistic policies and restrictive behaviour do let sm ppl down .. but they are the ppl who have just observed the world from outside and are yet to kno the full potential of Jailbreaking and stuff... all those iPhone baiters ... just hop on to the Dev Team blog to kno that all these shortcomings are only on a non jailbroken phone.. and the OS is THE BEST..

You said it, its open. I'm an avid apple user and amateur developer...and $100 bucks just to get the latest SDK and then who knows, maybe your app will never see daylight.

I develop for both of these phones, but only own an iPhone. The dev environment for iPhone OS is much more streamlined, but writing code in Java is much easier than Obj-C. I hope they both prosper. The new iPhone 4 looks amazing :)

Thank you iPhone for changing how smartphones are, and thank you Google for making a product that is worth owning :)
