    Default Nexus One

The Nexus One looks like an amazing phone. I am patiently waiting for it to come out on the Verizon network. Anyone have it and want to share about it? Anyone who doesn't have it and want to give you comments on it or to express your utter desire to have it? No? Ok thats fine too. To give you a glimpse to non-Nexus-One-knowers, here is a picture:

If your the type that really likes to tinker with stuff then your making a good choice. I have the Moto Droid, and both it and the N1 are great for tweaking. Lots of Roms, Kernels, Themes, etc available for them both.

I've had the opportunity of using it, and it really is an amazing phone.

Definitely not an iPhone killer, yet.

Good device, a perfect combination of hardware and software, the snapdragon 1GHz process is stunning fast, provides similar computing resource as some of the lower end 'netbooks'.

The Android 2.1 OS is amazingly elegant and beautiful, motion and interactive wall paper is just brilliant at its best. Android is open source and people can develop non-market apps (legally), you just need obtain a apk file and install it. Google provides excellent development environment for PC, Linux and Mac, and it actually allows you to unlock the bootloader within its development environment, hence root the phone.

Is it iphone killer? I don't think so. Most people, who are not techsavvy don't even know this phone existed, Apple spent millions on marketing to sell iphone, don't get me wrong, iphone was evolutionary, brilliant and started a new era of smart phone, back in 2007, there were no significant developments in its functionalities, however, it developed into a fashion icon, it is a 'statement of coolness', it is very hard for N1 to complete in the 'sales volume ', however, for the hardware and OS, I think N1 is the clear winner. And I do hope HTC will put more $ in marketing N1's twin brother, HTC Desire

Does anyone know how good does it work with Gizmo5 or GV? Mostly GV. I mean can you have the phone have the same number as your GV number?

hmm, I think it works with google voice without any problems, there is a google voice app for android, however, I have never personally tested it, since I do not have a google voice account.
