Anyway right now all android operating phones are in their youth, and when they start to grow up they will dominate the iphone which is already starting to look like an old piece of junk.
There's a multitouch browser patch for the Droid? Where?

I'm hoping to switch over to a droid based phone after my contract expires with my current carrier. From the looks of it and what I've read, I think it would suit my needs better than my current Blackberry Bold 9000.

I got love for this phone. The lip looks like crap but i'd probably choose this one as my phone. I've already dropped my palm treo in the toilet before and wish i woulda done it now rather than 2 years ago. Droid is bomb.

I love the droid, and i can say i joined T-I and know much about android.

I've been on the xda-developers forum/community for about half a year now - and i just want to say android is VERY promising. There are a bunch of apps that are very handy, useful, and fun to look at/use. Also the community on xda is very lively, and people with G1s and MyTouch3gs who have rooted their phones see constant releases of ROMs (firmwares from other phones) ported on to the G1/MyTouch3g. I'm running a G1 from T-Mobile with the exact same firmware that the DROID uses - Android 2.0. I can also use a functional port of the not even officially released Android 2.1. There is a pretty deep underground Android community - and now that the DROID has been rooted, you can have this functionality on the DROID as well. Rooting brings all sorts of functionality- speeding up your phone, wifi tethering your phones data connection, and much more. I suggest people with Android look into it. I tried a blackberry and just missed Android so much, i sold the brand new Blackberry Bold 2 I bought after 2 days..

Yes this phone looks spectacular. I keep hearing complaints about its looks but I gotta say It's pretty to me :) I'm so glad alltel got bought out by verizon. Their smartphone selection was terrible. Now I can't wait till my contract to be up. If it were right now I would have a droid by xmas!

Droid is amazing. Plus has anyone seen/ used google goggles? The app is still in its infancy but a fantastic idea and already very impressive in a couple of test that I did.

The Droid is obnoxiously huge. I have the G1 and it still doesn't compare to the Droid. But there is so much work being done with the operating system by individuals not working for cell phone company's that are just making the software better for themselves and others that the phone is constantly getting better. In the past month I have updated the software on my G1 5 times and added multiple new functions each time. Unlike the other companies who often make you buy a new phone to get new features.
