As the topic said, tomorrow I'm going to Verizon wireless and getting a cell. I'm totally out of the loop with cell phone, but want a good smart phone.
Any idea whats currently kicking ass in that department?

i did a little reading and found the Samsung Omnia i900. what do you guys think about that? $99
It's pretty decent
Can you help me out here?
It's not a lake, it's an ocean.
I advice HTC Diamond. You have to carry Omnia's stylus pen seperately. But HTC's has a built-in stylus. You can lookup them at gsmarena.com . Also they have reviews. You can have some ideas about them.
Im gonna stick with the iphone, best phone hands down, with all the apps its not comparable!
AT&T - IPhone
T-Mobile - G1 / Sidekick 3
Verizon - EnV² (black) / Voyager
US Cellular - Motorola Neo (low price, awesome phone)
I can see they have HTC Touch Pro (Touch Pro 2 is soon to be released, if you can wait..) - this is probably still (as for now) the best PDA with QWERTY (you do prefer that, right?). + Extendable memory (microSD), Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro on board (with mobile MS Office & Opera) - you can customize it endlessly with free apps. (and WM 6.5, which is superb, has just been finished - new ROM will surely be available soon after it's released), real GPS (not some iPhone fake shit), beautiful Touch Flo 3D menu. It's not perfect (that's why they made Touch Pro 2 correcting almost every flaw), but along with Sony-Ericcsson Xperia X1 (btw. manufactured by HTC as well) it's the best PDA for this day. It's almost a mini laptop, actually.

This is a Man/girl that knows what they speak of! I have far far too many friends that work in all facets of VW (verizon wireless) and they all say pretty much exactly what this post contains!
Best of luck...choosing a phone can be like choosing a mate
just a side note...you can never go wrong with the old standby reliable blackberry curve, if you prefer QWERTY and a pretty utilitarian approach to UI
