Thread: IPHONE video converter????

Hi there guys..

i was wondering if anyone could help me with a suggestion for a video converter , i have been using magic video converter which i really love , but i have run into problems converting mkv files to ipod format , the converter does state that it supports this feature but when i convert my mkv films they come out very stretched out and flattened and impossible to view...
is there something i'm doing wrong?
what converter do you suggest(preferably one that you use successfully)...

Hi DJ have you tried a program called Handbrake..I know that will do the trick for you.

+1 rep for your suggestion , i havent tried it yet but came accross any video converter so if that doesn't work then i'll give it a go... is it freeware? or pirateware

is open source free ware and its great for encoding anything.
It takes me about 35 mins to encode a 30 min show.
It doesa lot more things also

thanks so much i tried atleast 6 different apps and none of them worked , so far any video converter is working but will still try handbrake and see which one i like best...

have u ever tried dvdfab to ceate video files for ipod or any other moble device. works well and sure u can find a cracked version somewere.

Not the prettiest GUI but iPodME « Noda’s Dev Blog is a very good iPhone/iPod touch converter.

It's completely free and produces very good quality mp4s :D

How is the speed on that one?
