I've tried a lot of converters and the program I think's working best is Videora. You can download it from here.

In the program you can choose between two different modes. Advanced and basic. In advanced mode you must choose between things like MPEG-4 SP, QVGA, H.264 etc.. In basic mode you just type the name of the new file and then you get to choose the quality on a scale.

It's a nice app and I really think you should try it out. Hope this helped you:D

i tried videora but it didn't seem to do anything at all on vista 64 dunno maybe i did something wrong but it kept freezing on me... uninstalled and re-installed several times ...

hmm okey. I'm currently using XP sp3 and it's working great, maybe it's not compatible with vista yet..?

I currently use Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate, but don't own an iPhone so I'm not exactly sure how the quality is.

I've used Xilisoft Ultimate Video Converter for just about everything. I always thought the video conversion time is entirely dependent on the processing power. Or perhaps it could be the coding of the app?

handbrake turned out to be da solution for me!! =)
