Sony ericcson K850i - watch avi's
HI i was wondering if anyone out there can provide me with info on how to watch avi files on my phone.
I have the above sony ericcson and i have tried putting an avi file on my memory card, but the file wont play.
do i need codecs? or is it just the case that i should invest in an i-phone or an ipod touch????
any help would be appreciated.

Don't go as far as evil Apple, mate; a simple and far cheaper Symbian smartphone, like Nokia 6120 Classic, with CorePlayer installed, should take care of quite a bit of your video needs. Still, if you don't want to invest in another phone, I see that it knows how to operate with MPEG-4. Grab a free converter that will transform your .avi in an .mp4, make sure you have enough space and you should be good to go.
