Thread: 100% Quality Counter Strike 1.6

Here is a guide to get 100% quality when making a movie in Counter Strike 1.6-
really nice picture quality! So take a look and follow it carefully!

Legion NOTE: Add legion as close as possible to your hard drive! eg; C:\Legion .. Otherwise it does not work!

Now, let's make sum' nice frag movies


HLAE
Start up your HLAE with these settings. Then press "Launch"


To get ingame audio recorded automatically - in HLAE write this
mirv_movie_export_sound 1. Ofcourse you write this in your Counter strike console.


Then, find the time in the demo where your clip is and write
Start movie Hejhej 120 (in your console ofcourse)

Then when the clip is finished and you are happy, type
endmovie
notes; You can use any name you want instead of "hejhej" just remember the 120 in the end, it's the frames we record it in.


Now you will have a folder in cstrike called Hejhej and in there it will be your audio file, and in a sub folder the pictures of your clip you recorded.




VirtualDub
Now open your VirtualDub and follow the instructions

press File > Open video file
Now press the first picture of all your images in Hejhej folder.
Then it will automatically add all.

Then Press video> frame rate

write 120 fps, because we recorded the clip with 120fps.


Press Video> Compression
Select (Uncompressed RGB / YCbCr),then OK.


Now press File> Save as .Avi
and save it to your desktop or similar ..

Sony Vegas x (You can use any version you want, however I am using version 9 in this tutorial)
Now open your sony vegas to edit your clips.
Edit what you want and then do what I do in the picture:


mute everything that is related to image like I did on the picture then
Render it as .wav file,
press
File > Render As. And use these settings


NOTE: You have to name the Wav file and the. Avi file into "movie"


Now do the opposite and mute everything related to sound:


And now render it as .Avi with these settings:





Legion
now to the encode program Legion!

Go to the folder where the Legion is located, should be C: / Legion because I
wrote it earlier ..

Add your .Wav and .Avi file there.
And then it should look like this in your folder


Double click now on the Legion file(Legion 1.5.0.bat) ..


PRESS N


PRESS Y


PRESS N


PRESS N


PRESS 1

Now it will render a while!

F.A.Q
1. you can use any resolution you want, but do the same when in vegas too! You can use whatever fps you want!
2.you have problems with the legion? Check that you have legion folder close to your hard drive: "C: / Legion"
Make sure you have installed ALL the codecs right. Make sure you rename your Avi and Wav file to "movie"
