Thread: Crack a Wi-Fi network, Video Tutorial

Hey all,

Before I say anything firstly I would like to say that if you use this method to break into someone elses network then you alone are responsible, I have used this to crack into my network so that I could prove to my brothers how easy a WEP key is to break.

This tutorial was not made by me, I had no input in this tutorial, I got this off a tech blog which I read.

True, I used Backtrack and I cracked wep protected networks in minutes :D

If I hack into another wireless network like my school's would they be able to detect my laptop and know that it was me?

@Bingboy: Its highly likely that they would be able to see someone connected to it, but sinces it a school there would be so many other people connected they probably wouldnt really think it out of the ordinary.

@Ethicks: Care to elaborate?

Backtrack is easier than the video's method, but this is still a really helpful tutorial.

How do I use the easier method?
