Thread: How to jailbreak Iphone/Ipod Touch/Ipad 3.1.3

Hello everybody,



Today im going to show you how to jailbreak your iphone/ipod touch/ipad 3.1.3 firmware.


Recently a new program has been released that can now crack the latest firmware, this program is called Spirit.

Their website is:

Spirit
Choose your OS and download the program

Steps:
1)Plug your iphone or other device into your computer and load itunes
2)Back up your device in case this fails
3)Upgrade to the latest firmware if you haven't already done so
4)Open Spirit and click "Jailbreak"
5)If all goes well your device should restart and show an image and a loading screen

do you know if this will work on a 2nd gen ipod with the 3.1.3 firmware? Or just 3g ones?

did this on my 1st gen ipod touch last night using spirit and it works fine, takes like...not even a minute to do.


And a note to the author you are leaving some steps out.
If you have Windows 7 or get error code c0000005 you have to run Spirit in a Windows 98/ME compatibility mode

How do you back up your itouch?

Anyone verify this to work with iPhone 3G?

Quite simple. just plug your itouch into your computer and load itunes, then right click your device and in the drop-down select back up

awesome, I tried jailbreaking mine a few weeks ago, but got nervous after I installed libUSB or whatever it is wrong. When I rebooted I had no USB connections and my soundcard was not working :-/

this sounds like a better option for me :)
