Ever wanted a cell phone plan that gives you everything for $50 a month plus lets you use a blackberry? Well this tutorial will help you achieve that goal on a Blackberry 8350i, 7100i, and 7250i.



1. Your first step is to get any boost phone and activate it with your unlimited plan. From there you will remove the sim in it and set it aside putting the sim in your blackberry model listed above.

2. From here get the blackberry desktop software at least version 4.1 or above from balckberry.com and install it on your machine (if you want linux help on this PM me and I'll provide alternative methods).

3. Ok now you want to get the blackberry OS software form this link here and the service books from here.

4. Easiest step, plug in your blackberry to your usb cable and let the OS update, this can take up to an hour so be patient and find something to do until it is done.

5. Use the Desktop software to backup your service books, can't hurt to have a backup in case you make a mistake and need to start over.

6. Now unplug the device and close all running applications then uninstall your browser from Apllciation Loader : Add Remove Applications.

7. Now depending on your phone this will vary go to (on your phone) Options : Advanced Options : Service Books and type in this (7100i) Alt + A/S A/S B/N E/R B/N (7250i/8350i) Alt + S B E B

8. Now here reconnect your phone to the pc start Desktop and go to backup/restore. Here we are going to restore and choose the zip file we downloaded earlier (make sure to extract the zip file first, you want MMS_WiFiBrowser.ipd.

9. Now once again go into your applciation loader just like before and check the empty boxes next to your browser, java, and help and let's reinstall them.

10. You should now have everything after the phone restarts again. Congrats.

A few apps I recommend.
opera mini - a definate must, this will be your fastest available browser.
gmail app - 7100i/7250i works almsot like the push email for blackberry when you setup notifications
google maps - need I say more?
nav4all - great free gps program
amazegps - another gps program that is free and works well.
shangmail - (8350i) for this phone works exactly like push mail.
mobipocket reader - if you like ebooks this will do it for you
