Default How to Share a Laptop

    1. Get a wireless router connection. That way, each person able to share the laptop can play on it in their own personal space. This will allow you to work and play on it without others hovering over you asking "Is it my turn yet?!" or "Don't do that!" and "Hurry up!".
    2. Designate times for each person to use the laptop. Use this as leverage against users. For example, if anybody uses it longer than they should do, this time gets docked off the next week. If one user is really abusing the time spent on the laptop, they could also lose privileges for a week or more. That will soon have everyone working out times fairly.
    3. Know what you want to do on the laptop before you get it. Don't waste precious time running all over the internet looking for something to do. Write down a plan of the sites you want to visit and things to do. For example:
      • Spend 20 minutes researching the Roman Empire for school project; print off material to read later
      • Spend 10 minutes checking and answering e-mails
      • Spend 20 minutes doing Recent Changes patrol on wikiHow
      • Spend 10 minutes chatting to grandma online and the remaining 20 minutes chatting to friends.

    4. Set a timer. That way you will not overspend time on one site over another. You can reset it for blocks of time if needed.
    5. Ask for special dispensations to get larger blocks of time. If you are writing an essay or project etc., and you have a due date, always forewarn every user that you will need the laptop for a larger block of time to complete your project writing at that time. Get everyone to agree to this in advance.

    Tips

    • Don't get caught up in one thing for too long or you will lose the time to do all the things you would like to do on the internet or laptop programs.
    • Think about whether there are some things you can do another way. For example, don't chat; use the phone or visit someone instead.

Again, ifyour gonna C/P a tutorial, at least place the source where you found it. Not to be rude but, it seems your intent was to post this tutorial like you created it.
