Definitive Xbox 360 Burning Thread!

This guide's goal is a FAQ for Xbox 360 games burning. Info's posted here are all according to my own knowledge so any mistaken and/or outdated information are welcome! To help making this topic updated, please PM me for fixes.

XGD3:

XGD3 (Xbox Game Disc 3) is new disc format developed by Microsoft. Basically it adds more AP (Anti Piracy) and CVI (content integerity) checks. Microsoft’s current format structure creates a partition weighing in at around 1GB, filled with anti-piracy sectors. This update tweaks the approach to significantly save on space, or omits the partition altogether. The most notable perk is an extra 1 GB of storage space on the new format for developers to utilize.The XGD3 format will write to an extra "layer" on the disc. Not to be confused for a physical layer, the discs are still nothing more than Dual-Layer DVDs. However, the discs do read in at a larger capacity.

Which games have XGD3 Protection?
Every single "main-stream" game after Driver: San Francisco (the first one to feature XGD3) should come with XGD3:
NBA 2k12, Battlefield 3, Forza Motorsport 4, Ace Combat Assault Horizon, Just Dance 3, Rage, Batman Arkham City, The Adventures of Tintin, Gears of War 3, Warhammer 40000 Space Marine, X-Men Destiny, Rise of Nightmares, Dark Souls, etc. (Dead Island has both XGD2 and XGD3 copies)

Which unlock required for burning and running XGD3 games?
LT+ 2.0


CIV
CIV (Content Integrity Verification) is a new security format made by Micro$oft. Basically it verifies the whold disk content to flag/ban the player if the disk appears to have any incorrection (Rips, for example)

Which games have CIV Protection?
At the present moment, only Forza Motorsport seems to have CIV protection, but probably all titles will come with it in a near future.

iXtreme Burner Max

What is it?
Basically, iXtreme Burner Max is the salvation. Developed by TeamXecuter togheter with c4eva team, this software is an alternative firmware for certain burner models (shown above) to make them able to burn XGD3 games (that has 8,7gb of data!). Without this firmware, the games are burned in "truncate mode" which loses 2%-3% data from each burned disk, making flagging / banning a lot easier for M$.

CrossFlash
What is it?
CrossFlash method is when you put a (burner, in this case) firmware inside another model's burner, enabling some extra functions to your burner. (some functions are not possible in reason of hardware limitations..)

if you care for live its best burning games with verbs, best personal results also can't truncate lot of the newer games,
but if you care about live you would be waiting for LT+ v3.0 anyway and staying of live for now

I have just bought some RICOHJPN media and it sucks. I thought that the problem was my 122-04 crossflashed to 524B but it was not. Result? my burner got bricked. Just bought new verbs and need to buy another burner.
