Hello, everyone. I'm an avid reader but I also like to read some comics/manga from time to time.
I use my kindle for most of my reading and found a way to also read comics/manga.
First we need to download the comics/manga. You can get these from your favorite torrent tracker, etc.
After than we need to go and grab a program called Mangle - FooSoft.net
This program compiles the photos and reformat and re size them into something the Kindle can read.
Mangle can only read .jpeg, .jpg, .gif, and .png
So if you have CBR or CBZ files you need to rename the file extension at the end (CBR to RAR, CBZ to ZIP)
Once you have the pictures, you can drag and drop or use the import feature.
You should be at this step now - http://image.torrent-invites.com/images/186tutorial.jpg
The you click the little gear to export the book and it will bring up this window - http://image.torrent-invites.com/images/665asas.jpg
From there put in the title and choose your device and click ok. Choose the destination to where your comic/manga will be exported to.
Exporting can take a while depending on how many photos are in your comic/manga.
When exporting is done, find the folder for your comic. Inside you can what mangle has done. Color will be changed to black and white and full spreads will be turned sideways - http://image.torrent-invites.com/images/139asasas.jpg
Now plug in your kindle and open it up in my computer. In the root directory, you need to make a folder called "pictures" (no quotes and no capitals) - http://image.torrent-invites.com/images/383sasa.jpg
When you have done that, just drag and drop the folder exported by Mangle into the pictures directory. Eject your kindle and then turn it on and you're done. (If it doesn't show up, press Alt+Z, this will refresh your kindle and show the comic folder)
Thank you for reading. This was my first tutorial ever and was something I've been meaning to share.
I hope you all enjoy it, and happy reading.
