Thread: How to Crack a WEP key

For WPA2-s I have taken advantage of overall laziness of mankind. Quite often you will see ThomsonXXXXX or SpeedTouchXXXXX or what ever. It's not hard to find default key calculators. They have worked for me big time.

I have several WEP routers around my house. If I do crack in to them, how would I go about keeping my computer anonymous as I eat up their bandwith?

Also going to try this this weekend, will tell you how it works out. +13 repped.

I have not tried the method though since I do not have the hardware. It needs some compatible hardware (with ralink and atheros wireless chipsets) and propriety driver found here Drivers for Wireless Network Adapters - WildPackets Network Monitoring and Analysis.

well tried it out but doesn't work for me. probably because my neighbors have different set of routers n or are using different methods of encryption other then WEP.

Yea... this is only for WEP....If they dont use wep, this will obviously not work lol

hehe cracked my neighbours WEP and stole terabytes of bandwidth :O

I think they're mad now..
