Thread: How to get free stock art from VectorStock.com

Heya, this is my first time posting a tutorial, so cheers.

This is about how you can get free, unwatermarked images from vectorstock.com (and possibly others)

I just found this out today while browsing through, and getting bored of manually removing watermarks, I looked into the coding to see if it used a reference to the picture. Luckily it did :D


Step 1

Find a picture you like.




Step 2

Right click the page, and select 'View Page Source' (or similar)




Step 3

You should be looking at the coding of the page.



Step 4

Use the find function, and find '<img src="http://www.vectorstock.com'




Step 5

Copy this url (it ends in .jpg or similar) to a new tab, and press enter. (in this case, it is http://www.vectorstock.com/assets)/p...irl-vector.jpg)






Step 6

Copy or save this new image, and enjoy your free stock art :D

for FireFox, right click on page, VIEW PAGE INFO, open the Media tab (1). there are a lot of images on a typical web page (2) but with the preview option down below, you can see which one is the pic you want. then you just have to click the Save button (3) and you're done...no searching in the html code or anything like that.

Doh. I completely forgot about that button. Oh well, this method works for IE and Chrome as well.

It obviously worked for you as the screenshots show, but just as twizted I had no luck with these tricks today :(
