Biography:

To introduce myself a little, here is what I want to share with you.

I've grown up without a computer (I am from '72), but when I got my first kid back in '93 it has been a part of my life ever since.

Got ADSL at home as a tester for TDC back in '97 when 3 friends and I started our Internet café in Aarhus - Denmark. When I moved I convinced TDC to move the line to my café, and so they did. Back then we had to log into the ADSL gateway with telnet... but hey, then we could play 5 ppl at the same time, mostly Tribes.
We had a lot of dudes from MNO (midnight order, if anyone remember), those were also a great clan in Quake (QW).

Anyway, I have been the tech guy since then, and still am, on my Internet Café.
We have had many different connections down there, all the way from 1/1mbs serial connection back in 98, that was well! Then upgraded to 2mbs and the ghdsl 3.2mbs... then finally we got fiber 10/10, which I later got upgraded to my now active connection of 50/50 (which actually performs more than 60!?).. this line can be upgraded all the way to 1gbs.

I run all my servers from 1 mofo server, with esxi4. I have been toying with vmware since '05 so this was an obvious choice. Currently have around 13 servers, 2 win, rest linux.
Back when I started leeching movies and other stuff off of torrents, I used a xp virtual machine for it, and then dumped them on a nas that acted as ftp. From there i downloaded to my home.

So I was actually only windows before '06, but back then i decided to take the plunge. The philosophy of oss is just more appealing from my standpoint. So my first linux box was made for leeching, with screen and an asci browser (elinks first, now links2), so I am not able to use torrent sites with capcha's for logins... sucks a little but anyway.

I have a fulltime job at my local university, where I do IT systems management etc etc.. and the café is just my hobby besides.

Got 3 kids, at 2,10 and 17... yea i know thats a nice spread.
