I have a kindle ebook reader and in my opinion its really good with eink screen.

doesn't have screen light (need external light to read) and that the brower resets if u try to open websites like FB etc...

But other then that ,it really good and with its smiple easy to use inter-phase and quiet handy

I would have to say Kindle.... But this doesn't mean its the best as I haven't used any other reader to compare it to but it does the job with great ease!

i have a kindle fire (great buy imo, (for me at least, especially since i got it for christmas, lol) you get a bare-bones android tablet for 200 bucks after you root it), on which i have installed Aldiko ebook reader (from the google market. it is pretty, light, and serves all my needs, and having the rooted kindle is INCREDIBLY handy (i was quite surprised), although sometimes i do wish the screen were bigger, but whatevs,

I have a Nook that has been rooted to function as an actual tablet. It allows me to bypass the B&N store crap and pricey apps. Instead, I can go direct to the Android Market and get the same apps in most cases for free. Also, I installed the B&N Nook app and still have access to all of the books that I previously bought from B&N online.

Beeing a audio book man probably makes me a bad judge, but I have a interesting thought, so here go's. I own a LG P920 optimus cellphone, not all books are availible in audio, so it happens from time to time that I download a e-book and load it onto the P920, the navigation is ok and the screensize is fine. I don't know what other specs you need in a e-reader, but for occasional use and multi functionalaty in a device that I carry with me in any case the cellphone is cool.

I have a nook first generation and an apple ipad and I use the nook for 99 percent of my reading. The ipad is too big to read with comfortably and its not as convenient for me as the physical buttons of the nook. I also choose the nook over the kindle because of my preference for the epub format and due to the fact that sideloading was originally much easier on the nook than the kindle.

The new Nook with glowlight looks pretty good, I myself bought a kindle a while back and the only thing lacking is the lighting, as i like to read in the evenings and at night mostly and really can't have the light on since the other half wouldnt be able to sleep, sure i could buy a special light for kindle for like 24 bucks but the Glewlight function was the thing that was missing from e-ink eReaders. And yes I definately prefer e-ink for the lack of glare and glossiness, it's impossible to read on the iPad even in a mildly bright setting.
