    @Subkar:

A-ha a fellow MC fan, nice to know :)

    personally my fav among his
    1. Andromeda Strain - a fantastic sci-fi novel - must read
    2. Timeline (a very close 2nd btw) - absolutely butchered by the movie

Next is also good, i got all his books in lit format, but want to get hold of hard-copies as well

As i said in another thread in this Library forum, i read a lots of books at the same time

    at the moment:
    1. The shining - saw the movie before starting the novel(big mistake), so the book doesn't feel suspenseful enough..
    2. Winter hawk - craig thomas - not that impressed by it
    3. Stay Hungry Stay Foolish - a book documenting the rise of 25 IIM (the leading Management University in India) students to fame thru entrepreneurship.. - A good read
    4. Kane & Abel - Jeffrey Archer - just started

I too was disappointed with the Lost Symbol, despite my like of his past famous novels. I found myself re-reading the Count of Monte Christo after watching the latest movie version butcher it for me.

    The book rocks

I recently finished The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest and I was really disappointed, I thought it was written very differently than the earlier two books in the series, this may sound outlandish but I really do think that when Steig Larsson died he had only written a rough outline and maybe a first draft of the first chapter or two and that the people invested in the business of his books (wife, agent, and so on) took the skeleton and hired a ghost writer to finish it up. It just really wasn't very good.

I just started The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins and I am really impressed with the treatise he is presenting so far.

Currently reading The Riyria Revelations (Avempartha Book 2) by Michael J Sullivan. 6 book fantasy series. I think they're slightly more written for a young adult type market, but they're are an enjoyable easy read when coming off the back of a 600+ page epic, short sharp story. In the swords and spells range I started with the Night Angel trilogy as well and enjoyed it. I will take up some of the other recommendations posted earlier to find some similar titles. Will get around to Brent Weeks' new series The Black Prism (Lightbringer, #1) in the near future.

Before that I read Elom by William Drinkard. Didn't deliver on the blurbs promises unfortunately. Became a challenge to finish it. Before that Retribution Falls (Tales of the Ketty Jay, #1) by Chris Wooding. I liked that one. Pirates in airships/zepplins mixed with some modern tech and supernatural elements.

I'm going to read Psych: A Fatal Frame of Mind next (I love that show) and then onto the first book Shoal Sequence series (SciFi) by Gary Gibson. Recently got 61 Hours in the Jack Reacher series for my action/thriller fix. So much to read, so little time.

Does everyone keep a Shelfari/Good Reads page up to date? Might be really good for future recommendations.

I'm reading Dracula. It's interesting how different it is than any of the films made of it.

Too Far Gone by Marliss Melton just started.

Its about this group of nurses who help people in war times, but now one of them is been arrested for a murder and people around her are dieing mysteriously. Is she being portrait or she is doing it or as she says herself, it is done by the blood of all her sisters on these people's hands?

So far it is interesting. Lets see.

I am actually reading a book from a relatively unknown author at the moment Daniel Silva's the messenger, it is about an art restorer who is also a spy and it is sort of like a series of books this one being my third. This one is about the Vatican and Al-Queda, it has been an interesting read so far, very intriguing and suspenseful
