Default Changed my ISP but IP still the same

I changed my ISP and donīt know why my IP stills the same. I wanna change my IP (external) couse I canīt connect on a IRC that I was banned. And yeah I was banned from a tracker and itīs IRC becouse of a racist mod/op, and I wanna comeback and talk with another staff member. But letīs stay on topic here anyone know why my IP didnīt change even tho I changed ISP ? How can I fix that ? I heard that IPīs on this ISP are dynamic but I already tried to disconnect and connect again, donīt work.

It is very bizzare that your IP address would stay the same, ISP's lease IP addresses in blocks so the only thing I can think of is that the new ISP is a reseller of your original ISP.

Even then it is very bizzare you would get the same IP address.

Are you sure it is your IP address that you are looking at and not something like 192.168.1.254 which would be your modem / router address? or 192.168.1.101 which would be your LAN IP address?

Well man, if wasnīt the same IP I would be able to access the irc again, no ? And I changed from a 3g 8mbps ISP to a DSL ISP, different companies, different types of connection... itīs crazy.
But I didnīt changed nothing on the configuration of anything in my computer, just plug and play... So it can be my LAN IP adress that I didnīt change and becomes the same ? Or it was anything that I should do and I didnīt with the Mirc or Mozila configs ?

That depends on the ban mask, try changing your IRC nickname.

E.g. if your IRC nick/host is DLivre@someisp.adsl.net and a ban is set on *DLivre*@* then changing ISP wouldn't bypass the ban.
