Default Make Google Chrome your default browser for dummies.

Everytime a browser is accessed on Windows, the default program will be launched.
For example, let's say that Internet Explorer is the default browser. The moment you click a link IE will automatically launch and will acces that page.
To make Google Chrome the default browser you must follow a few simple steps.
After you downloaded and installed the browser launch it.
Click on the icon on the uper right side.

When the menu shows up, select Options.

The Google Chrome Options window will appear. Click on the Basics tab in case it's not already selected.
In the low region you can see the section Default browser. You can see written with red that Chrome is not the default browser(Chrome is not currently your default browser). To change this you have to click on the button Make Google Chrome my default browser.

Immediatly you will notice that the text written with red dissapered and insted appeared a green text saying that Chrome is now your default browser.

I know it's very easy, but I still worked on it a bit.

    In Windows XP..

You can right-click your taskbar, and then properties.

Click the Start Menu tab,and then Customize.

On the internet tab you can choose which program you want to be the default one.

This is,though, available only with the Start Menu checked, not Classic Start Menu.

no offance yarrow_near but i dont really see the point of this tut since you can find 100 tutorials for this just by google it
end when you install for the first time a browser (in this case Google Chrome) it asks you if you want to set the browser to default
but appreciate the effort i just dont think is a good idea to post a tut like this because then will come others and post similar for firefox or IE

i still disagree on the above post, some people here are lazy to google it so it's a good use even if the one who is viewing this thread isn't a member, it can help even a little bit, but i can understand what he means, i always google things but sometimes i dont know what to search for or can't remember so i think adding even a simple tutorials like these would still definetely helps lol
