Thread: Download HD Video from Youtube!

Since Youtube has a lot of HD videos (480p,720p,1080p),many people trying to download the videos in HD format.Here I made a tutorial to download HD video from Youtube.

Firstly,search the HD video you want to download from Youtube.

Then copy the video URL from address bar as shown below:


After copy the video URL,go to this website:

Paste the video URL as shown below:


Wait for a few seconds to transfer the video from youtube to the server.



Finally,select the video quality you want to download as shown below:

The site doesn't work for me (at least for now).

I find it a lot easier to just use software to download youtube videos.
YoutubeGet is definitely the one and only youtube downloading software there is (even for HD video). You can choose what format you want to save it in (mp3, HD mp4, avi, 3gp, etc.) and not have to go through the bells and whistles of online converters that only work 10% of the time.

Just an alternative to those who can't get the sites to work like me.

Another Option:

Download Firefox.
Install Plugin called 1-Click Youtube Video Downloader

Thats it.

Everytime you browse youtube or watch any video on youtube you will see a link to download 3gp, mp4, flv, or HD right there and then.

I use the Video Download Helper plugin for firefox:

Everytime you go to a webpage that has a flash video playing on it the addon icon will become animated and clicking it will get you the video. Works on most websites and youtube HD videos as well.

Not sure it works for HD but if you want to just quickly download a video, change the y to 3.

You also can use Internet Download Manager (IDM). I'm using IDM to download HD format from youtube. Download speed is really really fast. Thanks for the tutorial though you're banned. Anyway good work. (^_^)

Guys you can also use this site ClipNabber - download videos from YouTube, Dailymotion, Vimeo, and more! dwnloadin speeds are also good and it supports more sites than keepvid
