Thread: How to get a free imageshack seedbox for 1 month

Before I get into this I admit I'm new to the whole private tracker sites and seedbox thing, and having read a few seedbox reviews Imageshacks service rates pretty low among people looking for long term seedboxes, but if you need a short term upload boost this could be for you.

To get the seedbox you are only required to create a free account then complete one offer, some of which are free trials which can be cancelled at no cost to yourself. I used a free offer from emusic for a 7 day trial and 25 free downloads although that offer seems to have gone now.

The seedbox the offer has a 15gb bandwidth limit and a 10gb storage limit. Neither are particularly big and if your planning on using this to download (which I've seen it go up to about 3mb although it says it will go faster) a lot then it's not going to last long, but if your just looking to seed/upload some freeleech or popular torrent files it will upload at speeds up to 300kb so for people with poor upload speeds looking to build ratios this should help, it has already helped me build mine on TorrentDay and Demonoid (even if it doesn't update correctly) so in future I will have some decent ratio proofs. On sites were you get bonus points for seeding you can easily add the maximun number of downloads using small files and leave them seeding in imageshack so your points build 24/7.

I can confirm this works as I'm currently using it.


1. Go to ImageShack® - Register and create a free account if you don't already have one.




2. Confirm the registration link in your personal email which should take you back to imageshack and log you in. If it does not, go to ImageShack® - Online Media Hosting and click login in the top right corner and enter your details.


3. Once you are logged hover the mouse over 'My Images' and then select 'Imageshack Drive' from the drop down menu.


4. On the next there will be a message displayed warning a subscription is required to use their torrent service, to the right of this there is a list of payment options, the last one isays 'New alternative! Get It Free', click this link.




5. This will take you to ImageShacks site with TrialPay. Enter your name and email address and click continue.




6. The next page will bring up a list of the offer available to complete to get your free seedbox. Select 'All Offers' from the menu on the left hand side of the page, and then select 'Instant offers only'.




7. Scroll through the list of offers and choose a free trial one such as Love film or Credit Expert and click the offer. this brings up a box telling you the conditions of the offer and a box to click to continue, click this and complete your chosen offer.





8. Once this is done you will receive a email from Imageshack and TrialPay confirming your completion of the offer and saying you will have access within 24-48 hours and that they will confirm this by email. Warning: they did not confirm when the seedbox became active for me so I would advise you to keep logging in and checking manually yourself.

9. From there your free to download and seed what you wish (within their limits) for a month!


I hope this helps people with poor upload speeds or who can't afford a seedbox right now, or people like me who fall into both catagories!

It still works, I've just checked, although may not be available in every country, it seems to be available in the UK and US I think atleast.

Even if it works most of the private trackers don't allow using ImageShack "seedbox" as far as I know.

Ah right I did not know that, but thats because I'm new to private trackers, I'm only a member of TorrentVault, TorrentDay and Demonoid, it works on those 3.

I don't like the fact that you have to put in a valid credit card number to get the seedbox. I just don't trust offers that come with such iffy conditions. Thanks though.

That only worries me when the companies your giving it to arent well known, companies like emusic and lovefilm who are in the offers have been around for years and are well known so safe to give you details too for free trials, but I do understand what you mean.

From what I tried last time, Imageshack only give priority to their premium members... thus if you are not one of the premium members, it's a tough luck trying to get it work as a free user!

However, I'm not too sure about the current condition yet.
