Good tutorial and a great tool but Gmail Drive is not supported by Google, I don't know if they approve.. If not I guess they could close the account.

For those concerned about this issue, there was (somewhat) recently a great change made in this area. In January Google started officially supporting the upload and storage of all file types to your gAccount using Docs: Uploading any file : Uploading and exporting - Google Docs Help

Now I just need someone to make or discover a Dropbox-like option to sync files on your system with that online "google drive" =)

This is very helpful. Thanks. Another great storage site is Adrive. They give 50 GB of storage free.

nice tutorial.. but i dont see the point of using this when you have such good media storing sites right now like: rapidshare; megaupload; etc..

That's a good tutorial but I prefer dropbox as it is created for backups.

    No you can't.
It could be used only for storage.
Firefox extension work too, but you can not see files uploaded from GMail drive on My computer at extension Gspace and the opposite.
