Thread: resolve browsing problems when utorrent is open

I had this problem, when utorrent was open my browsing was slowed down. So i searched the net and found a sollution. I will try to share the solution with you, probably one day will help someone. So let's begin.



The idea is that microsoft limits the number of half opened connections at 10. So to remove this problem download the patch from :

Run the bat file. You need to set-up a value from 50 to 100. A greater value may produce problems so it is not recomended.

After the patch was run, open utorrent go to options->preferences then find net.max_halfopen and set a new value. I set 50 when running the script and in utorrent i set 40.

It is not a big tutorial, but i hope will help someone.

Its a pretty old trick.....in fact you might have noticed an increase in your torrent speeds also....:)
