is this the code to write anything into a page?
ex: in your school's website. There will be no school tomorrow due to severe weather. but this doesn't change the actual page its just your screen

C'mon, altering a site on the client side is child's play, whether it be through Javascript or anything else. Change it on the server side and then I will be impressed!

If you want to modify sites through client side a lot then you should try Firebug for Firefox. It works great.

Then again, very insecure sites handle a lot of data client side, meaning you can manipulate data they recieve. But this technique won't work on most sites, as they are usually 'bulletproofed' and handle data on the server side. But you never know =P
