Default Got invite but they don't have what I want

I got an invite from a nice person and went to the site. Looked around and I don't want anything. My question is: If I don't download anything and my Ratio remains 0.00 and I allow my account to expire will this cause problems for the person that invited me. I DON'T want to cause problems for ANYONE. So I hope the account will expire and all will be fine. Please let me know. Thanks!

Most of the trackers I am a member will not take negative action against a person because their invitee didn't use the account.

However, on T-I, the person who invited you could give you negative feedback. Especially if one of the conditions of getting the invite was a promise to use the site.

I've been in situations where I didn't like a tracker but I decided to stay somewhat active out of respect for the person who invited me.

Interestingly enough, that tracker that I originally didn't like has started to grow on me a little in the last few weeks.

I am mostly interested in Music videos and they don't have a section for them. How do you know if they have what you want if you can't see anything before membership? Can I ask? How long do most trackers keep accounts? I was a member of TorrentLeech and had decent Ratio then my computer crashed. By the time I got everything up and going again and decided to try to log in again. TorrentLeech deleted my account. I didn't think the delay was excessive but I guess TL did.

I am extremely careful about what trackers I decide to join, especially from T-I, since there could be consequences to your reputation if you mess up.

Here are some things I do before I decide to join a tracker:

    1) I figure out what exactly I am looking for in a tracker. I am a huge fan of ratioless trackers, so that is a very important factor to me. If not ratioless, then it has to be a tracker that doesn't make me feel like I have a second job just to maintain a decent ratio.

    2) Once I complete 1, I start to research the tracker and find out what exactly the tracker has. I go to the T-I Tracker Review section which can be found here, do google searches and I jump into the T-I IRC Channels to ask people who are members of that tracker their opinions. I literally just did this the other day with Waffles.

    3) Once I complete 2, I just ask for an invite.

As far as your TL account, you could always jump on their IRC channel and ask them about your account.

there is a review section for you to research trackers before you jump in to get invites from, anyhow I will suggest you take advantage of this section so this does not occurs in the future. I am more than sure you will be getting a negative igiver for letting your account get disabled for inactivity

Strange how you get into a tracker without knowing what it has, more careful next time and count with us to explain you what trackers have or don´t.

How long do most trackers keep accounts?
Scene trackers aprox. 8 weeks. Other trackers from 4 to 12 weeks. If a months are involved, than 6 to 12. It happens automatically. Some trackers delete accounts, some disable them only. If a tracker is high on demand, than 100% your account will be deleted due to inactivity.
