Default Rules clarification for applying for invites

I'm curious, in the give away section I sometimes see posts "I want to apply for XYZ" and then a bit later "Got it somewhere else, thanks". I guess people are applying for the same invite in multiple threads at once. Are there any rules on this?

    I looked here:
    Torrent-Invites Rules
    Invite Giveaways

But didn't find anything. Wouldn't applying for the same tracker in multiple threads potentially cause issues?

Sometimes you might apply for something and then receive no response for a few days and try a different thread. It's something I have done before. I couldn't find anything to clarify whether it was allowed or not, but I figured because I have seen others doing it that it was ok.

(I like how you always double check everything here canadianguy its cool)

Yes, some giveaways state that the decision will be made on a data (i.e. Dec 31st). I can understand that another opportunity can come up in the meantime and you wouldn't want to pass it up. I guess if you haven't PM'ed your email to the op it isn't too late to withdraw, it is more on invite giveaways where the op says "Post here and PM me your email". If that happens in two threads, there could be a collision.

they might have applied from two forums, like applied in one thread here and one thread at fst, or any other forum.

its probably not the right thing to do, but its impossible to police.

if they have applied in two threads here, thats a different story.

hi canadianguy, im sure there is nothing wrong with it but i think its a good
idea to give it time especially new members that might not realize from where
they received invite. i also think its nice to give first invite giver time to respond.

I hadn't even thought of other invite forums at all, I only use T-I, why bother using anything else, T-I is the best! :)

Private trackers have invite sections if your class is high enough, so I suppose you might get something there. You could wait a bit though to see if one pans out before applying to another one (i.e. for invites like IPT or TL that seem fairly easily available).

I suppose when you see a post like "I would like to withdraw my application" it is a good thing, it shows that the person applying isn't trying to collect extra invites. Some people who get the invite elsewhere might not even bother to follow up and withdraw their post.

There is no restriction on how many invites threads you can apply in for a particular invite. For example say you want a TL invite and 3 people are giving one away, you may apply in each thread, however as soon as you have received said invite you MUST inform the other inviter's that their invite is no longer needed.

Should you receive two invites at the same time for the same tracker then accept only one of them and then pm the other inviter that their's is no longer needed.
