    Default cross seeding on vuze

    Hello guys,
I've been trying to cross seed a torrent on Vuze on a Mac, but I'm getting 0 kbps upload speed. I downloaded the file successfully from a public tracker. All my ports are forwarded. My NAT is ok when I leave the Vuze settings at default (DHT on, allow peers to connect, private tracker unticked). But the catch is when I do configure Vuze's settings to abide by the private tracker rules (turn DHT off, private tracker option ticked), it says my NAT is firewalled. So, I was wondering what specific preferences do I have to configure on Vuze to successfully cross seed on a private tracker, while abiding by their rules?
PS. I can't use utorrent on the computer, as it's PowerPC.
    Thanks in advance

If you want to cross seed a torrent to a private tracker, then just turn DHT off and all that stuff before you start seeding there.

To find the things that the tracker needs you to turn off check the faq for that site.

Cross seeding is not allowed in many private tracker as that sends wrong info to tracker. I'll say, just read the rules in the respective trackers before tying to cross seed, otherwise, who knows you might get into trouble for cross seeding. :)

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here, but cross-seeding is allowed on the majority of scene trackers. Unless it's specifically mentioned in the rules, you shouldn't have any issues. The only reason why people are getting banned is because they're pulling a fast one and editing the torrent file. If done properly this will work, but people don't do it properly; thus, getting banned. Just ensure you have the same file and re-download the torrent file from whatever tracker you're trying to seed to.

    This^^

Did you download the second .torrent? (the .torrent file)

And is your version of Vuze on the client whitelist for the tracker you're trying to cross seed to?

Yes, I did indeed download the .torrent from the private tracker (SuperTorrents if anyone's curious) and I'm not uploading anything. This is after I modified settings in Vuze to turn off DHT and the like. But I'm wondering now if I even need to change the settings in Vuze, because aren't the private torrent files already preset with DHT and Peer Exchange turned off, that Vuze couldn't possibly override those torrent properties?
Also, I found the same torrent on another private tracker and am beginning to get some juice from it, seeding at 1 to 10 kbps. Still though, what's with the sluggish upload speeds? It's a popular torrent with way more seeders than leechers. Could that be the reason why?

Hey I'm still having this problem, I can't upload anything on a private torrent, in this case a top 10 torrent off IPT with 2850 seeders and 205 leechers. I'm trying IPT now because I've heard their torrents are very easy to seed; however I'm not uploading at all, even now when I've finished downloading!

On the other hand I've been uploading on average 200 kbps on a public torrent off isohunt that has 5 seeders and 2 leechers...any ideas why?

Please, can someone help me start off my upload speed on private trackers...I don't want to get banned!

Does IPT say if you are connectable when you log into their website?

The best thing to download is brand new torrents that have just been posted, for example a TV show that just played with the last few hours. Note that old torrents with lots of leechers don't mean they are all leaching. For example, if you get a torrent that has a sample and the main movie, some don't download the sample, just the movie. They will seed the movey, but because they never downloaded the small sample video, they will always show up as leechers.

if by connectable you mean IPT now shows me a ratio of how much I've seeded/downloaded (before it had shown up as Infinity, when I hadn't downloaded anything), then yes.

And when you say the partial seeders show up as leechers, you mean they could actually be the ones who account for the leechers on the popular torrent page, right?

And well, you are right, I'm not connected to anyone in the swarm...has anyone else experienced this? is there anything I can do to connect to them?
