Default Low upload speed on IPT?

I have tried to seed many torrents (right now inception which is in 1# in the top ten) and still my upload isn't even close to 1 kbs and it sometimes even stops and you can see down below that my speedtest shows else. Is there a problem in the site or what?

Well, even if the torrent is #1 it doesn't mean there are many people trying to download it, it probably means it had many total downloads (read: everybody who wants it already has it!). So those may be a poor choice of torrents to seed.

Are your ports for bittorrent open? Most private trackers will have a information pane where they show if you are "connectable", you should check this.

IPT has no problem, I can seed things that go up to 10 MB/sec on occasion. As well, I think the torrent clients will favor peers that have higher upload speeds. You should try with a brand new torrents, older ones don't get much download activity.

Here in Canada many internet service providers throttle torrents, so I use a seedbox to bypass this. You should google your ISP to see if they throttle.

No, there's no problem at all. Even if it's the #1 torrent, the ratio of seeders to leechers is that much bigger as well. Inception is a popular torrent, but it has more seeders than there are leechers especially since the torrent's old. Chances are, majority of the users have already gotten themselves a 'copy' of the torrent file, so when somebody new leeches from it, you've got plenty of seeders to gather speeds from. Consequently, the speed you upload is also dependent on the leechers' speeds.

What I suggest is that you jump on new torrents, there's a much bigger chance that you can upload more rather than popular and relatively 'old' torrents.

Another comment about leechers, the stats might be msileading. Some people have downloaded everything but chose not to download the "sample" video that is included. This person will show up as a leecher, but will never download anything from anybody. So those stats can be misleading, be careful!

I'd like to add maybe you could also jump on games and tv episodes. They tend to be smaller but pick up a lot of leechers. Also, don't download a lot of torrents at a time. Be patient and seed forever. Lol

As of right now Inception on the top10 list has almost 3000 seeders and only about 200 leechers. That means there are about 15 seeders for every 1 leecher out there. Many of those may also be, as canadianguy mentioned, partial downloaders who are not downloading anything but are still showing up as leechers which makes the ratio even larger.

Unfortunately, you won't usually have much luck seeding the top 10 torrents, unless you are just looking for high dl speeds. +1 to new2bt's suggestion to hop on newly released tv episodes and seed them like crazy. :P

You could also try to seed popular TVPacks. I, for example, have seeded over 1 Tb on dexter season 01, 02, 03, 04 720p.

PM asking for invites on your own risk. If your PM is incredibly stupid, it WILL be posted in the mocking block.

Have you tried to see which are less seeded ones, with more leechers? Or the freeleech ones with many leechers? It will help you too on raising ratio :)

Yes agree with "reload" what i tend to do to raise up my ratio is sort by "leechers" and download the first one i see thats free leech no matter how big it is.

    Then delete it later.

The problem isn't with the site but with your upload speed and choice of torrents. Stick with newly released scene torrents. Your download is not that bad. You could successfully cross seed from another 0day like SCC or GFT. If not, the freeleech pr0n really does wonders. Grab the latest ones even if you don't watch it.
