In sweden education is free, but the living costs are great.

Both upper secondary school and university studies are financed by taxes. Some Swedes go straight to work after secondary school. Along with several other European countries, the government also subsidizes tuition of international students pursuing a degree at Swedish institutions, although there has been talk of this being changed.
Here is the site from the Swedish education service:
We guide you through the steps you need to take in order to study in Sweden. Read up on the things you need to consider before choosing the education that is right for you
Do your research if you really want to do it..

Most applications are handled through www.studera.nu. I guess if you want to study medicine, the places to be are either Karolinska Institutet or Uppsala Universitet. I would advise you to check their websites out and see if the application process is any different for international students. The Swedish lifestye is very laid back in general and people are generally good at English although being able to speak Swedish would probably be an advantage. If you have any more specific questions about life or university in Sweden, feel free to ask :)
